Nakamura's In Thailand 

"We had normal lives and normal jobs.  Then, we learned about Human Trafficking.  We decided to quit our jobs, leave everything and travel to Thailand to work with ZOE Children's Homes.  It's been 3 years now, and each day we have a renewed sense of joy and purpose as we endeavor to rescue, love and care for children in danger of becoming slaves.  We have NEVER regretted our decision."

Our Roles ZOE Children's Homes:

GREG serves as the Director of Child Rescue.  Greg directs all child rescue staff and activities related to the intervention and prevention of child trafficking for ZOE Children's Homes.  This includes the investigation and rescue of children in danger of being trafficked.  Additionally, Greg directs the training and development of the ZOE Child Rescue Team and the ZOE's Human Trafficking Awareness Training Program.

In addition, because of Greg's experience and certification in Finance and Accounting, he serves as ZOE's Chief Financial Officer.

NANCY is responsible for special projects related to missions teams and the children's homes.  Nancy has been able to thoroughly enjoy the challenge of raising Nathanael on the missions field.

Who We Were Before ZOE...

Professionally: 

GREG worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at KPMG for 8 years prior to serving with ZOE.  Greg provided consulting and assurance services to Fortune 500 companies.

NANCY worked as a CPA at KPMG for 2 years, then joined The Sports Club Company as the Assistant Treasurer for 5 years.  Just prior to serving with ZOE, Nancy worked as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service.

NATHANAEL (2 years old) was born in Thailand on January 16, 2006.  He loves singing and playing at ZOE Children's Homes as well as making his parents smile.  He loves Thailand, but misses his grandparents dearly.

Personally:

The Nakamura family are members of the San Fernando Valley Church (their sending church) in Pacoima, CA.  They have a big heart for children and love ministering to them and sharing the love of God with them.

Greg and Nancy both grew up in Los Angeles, California and were married in January 2003.
